Increase
Sales of Designer Brands
Business Objects announced that Bluefly, Inc. has selected
BusinessObjects™ Enterprise 6 as its enterprise business
intelligence standard.
One of the key selection drivers for Bluefly was
BusinessObjects Data Integrator. Bluefly will use Data
Integrator to pull together data from multiple systems and
then build reports to analyze sales, inventory, and customer
information.
Bluefly, based in the heart of New York’s fashion district,
offers more than 350 designer men’s and women’s apparel,
accessory and home brands at discounts up to 75% off
suggested retail prices. The company plans to rollout
Enterprise 6 in the following areas:
Merchandisers: This group will access an intranet powered by
WebIntelligence 6, the integrated query, reporting, and
analysis solution for the web from Business Objects, to view
and create reports that will help them understand how well
products are selling on the website. This information will
be used to assist in determining pricing changes and help
manage inventory.
Marketing: At Bluefly, the marketing department is tasked
with acquiring new customers and marketing promotions to
existing customers. This group will use Business Objects to
better understand campaign effectiveness and all aspects of
the customer including customer economics.
Online Retail Group: BusinessObjects Enterprise 6 will be
used to look at the Bluefly website as a whole, to determine
what promotions or features are affecting conversion and
examining both up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
“We chose BusinessObjects Enterprise 6 for its best-in-class
data integration and to bring increased stability and
quality to our ETL process,” said Matt Raines, Systems
Operations Director at Bluefly, Inc. “We felt Business
Objects provided a better view of the world than anyone else
and the analysis capability we get with Enterprise 6 is
superior.”
